Crops

Crops is a catalog of all plants and seeds that can be grown on your farms. This is an isolated list — you define your crops once, and then use them across all your farms when planning seasons.

Crops are account-wide. Any crop you add will be available for all farms under your account.

What is a Crop?

A crop is a detailed record of a plant or seed variety that you grow. Each crop can include:

  • Basic information — name, category, and variety
  • Growing conditions — planting depth, germination time, water and sunlight needs
  • Environmental conditions — temperature ranges, soil pH, expected yield
  • Additional notes — fertilizer requirements and other details

Having this information in one place helps you plan and manage your farming operations more effectively.

How Crops Are Used

Once you create crops in your catalog, you can use them in Crops Planning to:

  • Assign crops to specific cultivation zones
  • Plan growing seasons
  • Track activities and harvests

The connection between crops and cultivation zones happens in the Crops Planning section, which is covered separately.
