Creating a Crop

Crops are added through a modal window with organized tabs for different types of information. Only the crop name is required — all other fields are optional but help you manage your farming operations better.


How to Create a Crop

Go to Resources → Crops in the left menu. You will see a list of all crops in your account.

Click Add Crop

Click the Add Crop button to open the creation modal.

Fill in Basic Information

The first tab Basic Information contains the core crop details:

Category—Select crop type (Olives, Tomatoes, Potatoes, Onions, etc.)
Variety—Select specific variety within the chosen category

Add Growing Conditions

Switch to the Growing Conditions tab to add cultivation details:

Add Additional Information

Switch to the Additional Information tab for free-text notes:

Create the Crop

Click the Create Crop button to save. The new crop will be added to the database and appear in your crops list.


Tips

  • Start with basic information — you can always add growing conditions later by editing the crop
  • Use the category and variety fields to keep your catalog organized
  • Adding environmental conditions helps with planning and decision-making
  • The notes field is useful for recording specific requirements or observations

Crops are account-wide. Once created, a crop will be available for use across all your farms in the Crops Planning section.
