Adding a Product

Add products to your inventory catalog one at a time with complete details. Each product can include basic information, identification codes, and additional notes.

This creates a product in your catalog. Stock quantities are added separately through Purchase Orders.


How to Add a Product

Go to Resources → Inventory in the left sidebar. You’ll see a list of all products in your catalog.

Click Add Product

Click the green + Add Product button in the top right corner.

Fill in Basic Information

The modal opens with the Basic Information section:

Add Notes (Optional)

In the Notes & Additional Information section, you can add:

  • Product specifications
  • Safety information
  • Storage requirements
  • Any other relevant details

This field supports up to 2000 characters.

Save the Product

Click the green Add Product button at the bottom. The product will be added to your catalog.

Select from these product categories:

Categories can be customized in Settings → Default Values to match your farm’s needs.


Units of Measurement

Common units available include:

SKU Best Practices

The SKU (Stock Keeping Unit) helps identify products uniquely. Consider these formats:

Tip: SKU codes should be unique. Using consistent formats makes inventory management easier.
