Edit and Delete Products
This guide explains how to update product information or remove products that you no longer need.
Edit a Product
You can edit any product information at any time. The edit modal has the same fields as the add modal.
Navigate to Inventory
Go to Resources → Inventory in the left sidebar.
Find the Product
In the products table, locate the product you want to edit. Use search or filters if needed.
Open Edit Menu
Click on the three-dot menu (â‹®) on the right side of the product row and select Edit Product.
Update the Information
A modal window opens with all product fields:
Basic Information:
- Item Name
- Category
- SKU/Product Code
- Unit
- Brand
Notes & Additional Information:
- Specifications, safety info, storage requirements
Edit any fields that need to be changed.
Save Changes
Click the Update Product button to save your changes. The updated information is saved immediately.
Delete a Product
You can delete a product only if it has no associated data.
When You Can Delete
The Delete Product option is available only when the product has not been:
- Used in any activities
- Referenced in purchase orders
- Linked to stock movements
Navigate to Inventory
Go to Resources → Inventory in the left sidebar.
Find the Product
In the products table, locate the product you want to delete.
Select Delete
Click on the three-dot menu (â‹®) on the right side of the product row and select Delete Product.
Confirm Deletion
Confirm your action in the dialog that appears. The product will be permanently removed from your catalog.
When You Cannot Delete
If the product has been used in activities or has associated stock data, the Delete Product option will not be available or will show a warning.
Cannot delete products with activity history. This protects the integrity of your farm records. Products used in activities must remain in the system for accurate historical reporting.

Editing Products After Bulk Create or Import
If you added products using Bulk Create or CSV Import, you can now add the additional details that weren’t available during those processes:
- Find the product in the inventory list
- Click Edit Product
- Add the missing information:
- Brand name
- Detailed notes
- Safety specifications
- Storage requirements
This workflow lets you quickly add many products first, then enrich the data as needed.
